Will Young – British pop singer, who achieved notoriety after winning a national competition for young performers of Pop Idol in 2002. Soon after this success, he confessed his sexual orientation. He also said that he never hid it, and that has always been pleased with his personal life. Despite the disappointment of the huge hordes of young fans after such a declaration, Young is still maintained an interest in their identity and music. In 2002 he went on a tour of Great Britain and Northern Ireland with other members of Pop Idol. In the same year he performed the song We Are the Champions Queen together with musicians Brian May and Roger Taylor in a concert dedicated to the anniversary of the Queen at Buckingham Palace. His first single, which included songs Evergreen and Anything Is Possible, set a record for the British charts as the fastest-selling single in history. Young's first album, From Now On, was released in October 2002. It contained three singles: Light My Fire, The Long and Winding Road, and You and I. In February 2003, the actor won the BRIT Award in the category of Breakthrough of the Year.

In December 2003 they released their second album, Will Young, Friday's Child. It included the singles, Leave Right Now, Your Game, and Friday's Child. For this work he won another award BRIT Award. His third album, Keep On, was released in October 2005. One of his singles, All Time Love, was nominated in 2007 for the award BRIT Awards for Best British Single. At the end of 2007, Will went to Los Angeles to work on their fourth studio album. By the time he had accumulated a large number of songs, of which Young had to choose the few songs that were supposed to enter into a future album track list, known as Let It Go. Its release was preceded by release of the single Changes, which took place in September 2008. In 2009 the musician released his first collection of hits, won a logical name of The Hits.

Will Young has managed brilliantly to show their talent, not only in music. So, he starred in BBC «Mrs Henderson Presents" with Bob Hoskins and Judi Dench in the lead roles. The tape was released the UK in November 2005 and received rave reviews critics. This was also the merit of the Yang-singer no less Yang-actor. Will doing a lot for the charity program "Children in Need," in which he released the documentary film "The Runaways," the difficult life of teenagers who escaped from the house. He also traveled to Africa to film the story on the protection of gorillas in West Africa, published in a series of films BBC «Save the Planet Earth." In addition, Young has supported the fund "Help Women", created for victims of domestic violence, as well as several other charitable organizations.
